My name is Derek Morgan, and I hail from Spencer, Indiana. I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys cycling, hiking, running, hunting, and mountain bike trail building. Filmmaking has been a recent addition to my list of hobbies.

 

My job involves setting up field trips and guest speakers for high school students in nine area Jobs for America’s Graduates programs. With all schools shutting down field trips and guest speakers for the school year I decided the pandemic skill I was going to learn was video production and editing. Throughout the school year I visited colleges and business and filmed field trips and guest speakers in order to help my students get a little taste of the information they would have otherwise received in person.

 

I have worked hard to develop and hone my skills as a filmmaker to produce entertaining and visually appealing final products. For this film festival I look forward to producing a film that puts the natural beauty of Indiana on full display.
